At the end of 2024, the ESD and cleanroom specialist wholesaler abovo received recertification for quality management in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and initial certification for environmental management in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 from the Swiss certification company ATTESTA.

These certifications reflect abovo AG’s commitment to meeting the highest quality standards as well as its commitment to a responsible approach to the environment.

Quality management: recertification according to ISO 9001

abovo AG was first certified according to the ISO 9001 standardization norm in 2021 and has been recertified several times. On December 11, 2024, abovo was again recertified for its quality management by the Swiss certification company ATTESTA in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, thus confirming the high quality standards of abovo AG.

The latest edition of the ISO 9001 standard was published in 2015, which is why it is also referred to as ISO 9001:2015. ISO stands for the International Organization for Standardization, which develops the ISO standards.

ISO 9001 certification is only awarded to companies that can deliver high-quality products and services in the long term thanks to their outstanding quality management. The requirements for ISO 9001:2015 certification include the following:

  • Clear objectives with regard to customer satisfaction
  • Clear objectives with regard to product management
  • Clear workflows
  • Structured review of the results achieved

Environmental management: initial certification to ISO 14001

abovo AG has now also been certified for its environmental management by the Swiss certification company ATTESTA in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 for the first time on 11 December 2024, thus recognizing abovo’s environmental responsibility.

The latest edition of the ISO 14001 standard was published in 2015, which is why it is also referred to as ISO 14001:2015. As with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, ISO also stands for the International Organization for Standardization, which also developed the ISO 14001 standard.

ISO 14001 certification is only awarded to companies that are characterized by an outstanding environmental management system. But what exactly does ISO 14001 certification mean? For the certified company, ISO 14001 certification means, among other things, guaranteeing a structured environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 for the continuous reduction of environmental pollution, the efficient use of resources and the integration of sustainable practices into day-to-day business.
