Different finishing techniques

If you opt for textile finishing, you can choose from various finishing techniques:

  • Direct stick
  • Direct flock
  • Direct printing
  • Print and flock emblem (label, patch emblem)
  • Embroidered emblem (label, patch emblem)

With direct embroidery, the design (if technically feasible) is embroidered directly onto the clothing using color-coordinated threads, whereby a breast pocket cannot be embroidered directly.

The direct flock process is a modification of the screen printing process in which relatively short flock fibers are applied to an adhesive that has previously been applied to the ESD garment. Direct flock finishes are characterized, among other things, by their smooth and soft feel, while the velvety surface also ensures an elegant appearance. Direct flock printing is suitable for simple lettering, for example.

With direct textile printing, textile inks are printed directly onto the ESD clothing, similar to an inkjet printer. This process is suitable for intricate and/or filigree motifs, among other things.

There are also so-called emblems, also known as patches, patch emblems or labels. These are pieces of fabric that are first printed or embroidered and then applied to the garment, either patched or sewn on, depending on your wishes and options.

A distinction is made between print and flock em blems – free-standing or with a background – for patching and embroidery emblems for patching or sewing on, all of which can be applied via abovo with a maximum format of 9 x 12 cm. The embroidered emblem can be produced with or without an embroidered edge or as a removable label with a hook and loop tape.
