TEROSON EP 5065

In accident repairs, rigid, impact-resistant adhesives such as TEROSON® EP 5065 are required. This high-strength, solvent-free two-component epoxy adhesive provides high peel strength even at extreme temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 80 °C (-40 °F to 176 °F). After curing, it becomes rigid but not brittle.
It is used in vehicle repair for structural bonding of metals where high crash performance requirements must be met (e.g., body steel with or without electrocoat, galvanized steel, and aluminium).
The prepared mixture has a working time of approx. 60 minutes (at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity) and reaches its initial strength (0.1 MPa) after approx. 10 hours at 23 °C (73 °F). Full curing is achieved within 48 hours at room temperature and can be reduced to 1 hour using infrared radiation at 80 °C (176 °F).
For application, use a pneumatic or manual dual-cartridge dispenser, such as the LOCTITE® HD14 handheld pneumatic dual-cartridge dispenser (200 ml, item 2693824) or the LOCTITE® HD14 handheld manual dual-cartridge dispenser (200 ml, item 2693822).
Surface pretreatment with TEROSON® VR 10 is recommended.
