LOCTITE 242 is a medium-strength, medium-viscosity methacrylate-based threadlocker for universal use. The product achieves hand-tight strength in just 5 minutes on steel, 15 minutes on brass, and 20 minutes on stainless steel. LOCTITE 242 is thixotropic to prevent migration after application and is used for threaded connections that must be removable with normal hand tools.
