What are latex gloves?
To answer the question of what latex gloves are, we first need to clarify what latex is. Latex is a natural product. It is also referred to as natural rubber or natural rubber, as latex is obtained from the latex sap of the rubber tree. Basically, latex stands for milky sap and is biodegradable.
The problem with latex is that it can trigger allergic reactions. For a long time, this had to be accepted as latex was the only material on the market that was robust enough for use in gloves, for example in the medical, food and cleaning sectors.
Today, there are other materials that are available in bulk and represent an alternative to latex gloves.

What are nitrile gloves?
Nitrile gloves are an alternative to latex gloves. As the name suggests, these are made of nitrile. Nitrile is a synthetic rubber compound. Unlike latex, nitrile is therefore produced artificially. Nevertheless, there are also versions of nitrile gloves that are biodegradable.
Nitrile materials have been produced for a long time. However, nitrile has only recently become more affordable and is therefore becoming increasingly widespread.
Why nitrile gloves are better than latex gloves
Nitrile gloves have a whole range of advantages over other materials, especially latex:

However, if the higher puncture resistance and better chemical resistance are not important, you can also use latex gloves, unless you are afraid of allergic reactions to latex.
However, users may also experience allergic reactions to nitrile gloves. However, this occurs much less frequently compared to the use of latex gloves.
