Types of disposable hoods

In the case of disposable hoods, a distinction is made between so-called beret hoods and full protective hoods (hooded hoods). The term beret hood is derived from the so-called beret cap, which only covers the hair. The beret cap can be pulled completely over the hairline so that no hair peeks out from under the beret cap, unless the wearer has extremely long hair. In the latter case, the volume under the beret cap may not be sufficient to tuck these extremely long hairs under the cap. An effective solution here is to simply use two hoods.

A full protective hood – also known as a hood – usually covers the entire head, at least including the neck; only the face is uncovered with a full protective hood. In sensitive areas, beret hoods are combined with full protective hoods, i.e. the full protective hood is worn over the beret hood to further reduce particle emission.

Other terms for disposable hoods are disposable surgical hoods, hoods, clip hoods, clip-on hoods or fleece hoods. Colloquially, the term hair cap or cap for hair is also used.

Both hoods are made from the same high-quality raw material. The only difference is the mechanical / fully automatic production of the CELOS clip hood. Despite this machine production, the CELOS clip hood performs the same as the CELOS non-woven hood. What is different is the donning process, as the clip hood is supplied in a gathered form.
