This is because the <strong>cost of cleanroom production<\/strong> depends on several <strong>factors<\/strong>, some of which we list here: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Intended applications (e.g. production or laboratory)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cleanroom class of the cleanroom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GMP specifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Area size and room height<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suspended or self-supporting ceiling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Floor type (e.g. antistatic)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cleanroom type (e.g. traditional or modular cleanroom)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Number of employees in the cleanroom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room temperature, humidity, air conditioning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat loads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lighting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airlock system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental conditions for cleanroom construction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other installations in the clean room<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As can be seen from these parameters, cleanrooms generally require <strong>customized solutions<\/strong> that take into account, among other things, the cleanliness requirements and the needs of the particular application for which the cleanroom is to be used.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roughly speaking, the <strong>cleanroom costs per m2 (square meter)<\/strong> are <strong>between CHF 100 and CHF 5,000<\/strong>, although there can also be downward and upward fluctuations. The total costs for a cleanroom therefore range from a few hundred to several million Swiss francs, although there can also be upward and downward fluctuations. For example, if you want to have a small cleanroom built for laboratory purposes, this will be cheaper than a large cleanroom for the production of microchips.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But <strong>size alone<\/strong> &#8211; as listed &#8211; is <strong>not the only cost factor<\/strong>. The difference between cleanroom class ISO 6 and cleanroom class ISO 8 alone results in an enormous difference in the permitted number of particles. For example, energy can be saved in the <g id=\"gid_1\">heating and ventilation system and in the air conditioning technology<\/g>. If possible, <strong>humidification and dehumidification can be reduced during non-production times<\/strong> or <strong>the air exchange rate can be reduced<\/strong>. There is also potential for savings by avoiding <strong>simultaneous humidification and dehumidification and\/or heating and cooling<\/strong>. In addition, the <strong>duct pressures<\/strong> in the supply air ducts and exhaust air ducts are sometimes far too high.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You should also consider whether you really <strong>need the maximum solution<\/strong> for the size of the cleanroom. Smaller cleanrooms also offer the advantage that the risk of cross-contamination is lower.
