You can buy three different CELOS cleanroom face masks from the Swiss cleanroom specialist wholesaler abovo: a CELOS face mask with ear loops, a CELOS tie-on face mask and a sterile CELOS face mask.face mask with ear loops, a CELOS face mask with ties and a sterile CELOS face mask.

In the following article, we explain why face masks are worn in cleanrooms, briefly introduce the CELOS brand and present the three CELOS face masks for cleanrooms, which you can order from the Swiss cleanroom specialist wholesaler abovo in the online store.

Why is a face mask worn in the cleanroom?

One of the first questions that arises is: why do people wear face masks (some also say mouthguards) in the cleanroom at all? The reason: when people breathe</g>, they secrete droplets of secretions</g> and these droplets contaminate the cleanroom</g> and the objects or products located there. The droplet load is even higher when speaking</g>. And it becomes even more extreme when you cough or sneeze in the cleanroom.

The contamination caused by droplets in the cleanroom can be reduced by wearing a face mask. It is important that the face mask fits the wearer’s face and head well so that it seals well on all sides and as little unfiltered breathing air as possible escapes.

Mouthguards differ according to whether they are fastened behind the ears with ear loops or whether they have to be tied to the head. Alternatively, ear loops can also be attached with a retaining clip</g></g> behind the head. A distinction is also made between sterile and non-sterile face masks.
