LOCTITE 518

LOCTITE 518 cures in the absence of air between tightly fitting metal surfaces. This anaerobic surface sealant is used for torsion-resistant cast iron, aluminum, and steel flanges. LOCTITE 518 can bridge gaps up to 0.25 mm and forms a flexible, chemical-resistant, and durable seal. Joints can be easily disassembled even after prolonged use. Typical applications include sealing close-fitting joints between rigid metal sealing and flange surfaces. The product is also used to create surface seals on rigid flange joints, e.g., on gearbox and engine housings.
